Oils
Oils are suggested for beards which don't necessarily need taming or are longer than a half inch. They are generally light and make the beard and skin feel soft. Outlaw Refinery oils are cold pressed and lighter viscosity
than most other oils. This is to keep the beard mostly looking natrual and not too greasy.
Balms
Beard balms are generally, (but not exclusively), used on shorter beards. The beeswax allows for some light styling and placement of hairs. Balms are a bit trickier in nature. Most people new to using balms often get confused about it's consistency and expect a cream-like substance. This is not the case with most beard balms. Outlaw
Refinery beard balms are made with butters and beeswax. The butters, much like your butter in the fridge, get hard at most room temperatures. To use balm, simply pull a bit off with your fingernail and
rub between your hands until a smooth and light oil forms. Then you simply rub it all over your beard and comb through.
